Conceptual
product design
Conceptual design is a simplified design process intended
to "flesh out" multiple design concepts to the point
where they can be evaluated objectively. The concept that
survives the evaluation process is subjected to a detailed
engineering design in preparation for production.
Conceptual design is the combination of ideas or concepts
to visualize a product and for alternative designs to evolve.
Our engineers help the client to create realistic computer models
of their products with accurate textures and free-form shapes.
This helps in proving the product concept, application and
end use. Testing for function with the help of simulation
software can further refine these models.
Our engineers have the experience, background and tools to
help you convert your ideas into real products.
Engineering Analysis
Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Kinematics Analysis and other
engineering techniques are key to optimizing mechanical design.
We expertise to design and execute the complete workflow for
engineering analysis starting from finite element mesh creation
and definition of degrees of freedom for FEA. This is based
on client specifications for performing the analysis functions
iteratively for varying load conditions. Our engineers are
well versed in the usage of a variety of software tools for
engineering analysis like Pro/Mechanical and ANSYS.
- Meshing 2D and 3D Models.
- Linear, static, structural analysis.
- Geometric, Material and contact non-linearity.
- Steady state and transient thermal analysis.
- Steady and transient Thermal-Mechanical analysis.
- Dynamic analysis such as modal, harmonic, spectrum and
transient dynamic.
- Buckling analysis, explicit dynamic analysis.
- Advanced analysis technique such as sub-modeling, sub
structuring and design of experiments.
- Design optimization.
Legacy
conversions
Solid models give clarity to design, which is otherwise not
possible with 2D drawings. Our engineers can convert your
legacy design information and data into parametric, feature-based
fully associative 3D CAD models. With the software technology
available today, 3D digital solid modeling offers unprecedented
possibilities for improving designs and cutting costs.
2D - 3D
- Surface & Solid Modeling.
- Parametric feature based modeling.
- Complex 3D geometric assembly modeling using both top
down and bottom up techniques.
- Migration from an obsolete CAD system.
- Upgrading from a 2-D CAD package.
- Cleaning up outdated board drawings.
- Conversions to the new CAD format.
- Creation of an intelligent, fully functional database
of your drawings needed for every phase of your production.
- The final deliverables meet the customer specific drafting
standards in the desired software packages.
Drafting and detailing
- Drafting and detailing in International drafting Standards.
- Dimensioning techniques.
- Bill of material generation.
- Creation of layout drawings.
- Pictorial drawings, auxiliary views, sections.
- Fasteners, assembly and detail drawings.
- Assembly layout for manufacture.
- Complying with ASME, ANSI and ISO standards.
Reverse engineering
- Data collection & Study of physical model.
- Measurement of component dimensions.
- Study of fit requirements and application of tolerances.
- Specification of material and Heat treatment.
- Modeling and generating manufacturing drawings.
- Establishment of manufacturing process and quality plans.
- Identification of tooling requirement and design.
- Establishment of assembly and testing procedures.
- Prototype manufacturing - Testing and approval.
- Final Documentation.
Reverse engineering involves producing 3D
models and later on drawing for the manufacturable parts,
when a blueprint drawing for that physical component which is not
available in order to remanufacture that part.
We use the Laser scanning and coordinate measuring machine
(CMM) to scan the profile of the component.
Once scan data is obtained surfaces of the model is developed
from which the CAD model of the physical component is obtained.
Rapid Prototyping
We can provide support by generating 3D solid models and all
necessary related data, which is required for Rapid Prototyping.
We have strong collaboration with vendors in the areas of
Dies, and tool manufacturing and Rapid Prototyping. As a strategic
partner to the customer in their "Art to Part" concept,
manufacture of the prototype is carried out as a total package
deal.
Techniques
- Stereo lithography.
- Laminated Object Manufacturing.
- Selective Laser Sintering.
- Fused Deposition Modeling.
- Solid Ground Curing.
- 3-D Ink-Jet Printing.
Engineering Documentation
We have the capability to provide support to our customers
in the creation of engineering documentation of their products.
This includes all project documentation involving design calculations,
layouts, engineering drawings, analysis results, lab results,
field test data, operation manuals, maintenance manuals, and
entry into PDM systems.
We have resources to create much of this documentation. This
gives us a very good option to lower the cost of documentation.
Fixture designing
Fixtures are integral to all manufacturing environments and
play a very important role within the manufacturing process.
Fixtures can be used for a multitude of tasks, but are generally
designed to perform a specific task or aid some particular
process.
We have the necessary expertise in the design
and manufacture of small/medium-sized fixtures that can be
tailored to suit your needs. This not only enhances the overall
product quality, but also ensures that the product is manufactured
or assembled with consistent accuracy.
According to the customer's requirement,
we have been able to successfully design and supply several
hydraulic, pneumatic & manual holding fixtures. |
